Zambeef supports councils on community sanitation

Zambeef aids district health offices combat poor sanitary conditions.

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Zambeef Products Plc has moved to support the Chibombo and Lusaka Health District Offices with a donation of cleaning chemicals aimed at combating and preventing outbreaks of disease resulting from poor sanitation.

Zambeef Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Felix Lupindula, Head of Environment, Health and Safety Jones Kayawe, Chibombo District Pharmacist Isaac Zyambo and Zambeef Food Safety Manager Brina Chisamu.

 

“Zambeef is very active in communities where we operate. One of the goals as a responsible corporate citizen and neighbour is to support community initiatives bordering on health and education delivery for sustainable long-term results and real benefits to communities. This includes prompt response to immediate and urgent health needs,” said Zambeef Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Felix Lupindula.

Chemicals donated were worth K20,000 and included; 25×5 litres of Pynol disinfectant, 30×20 litres of chlorine liquid and 10×10 kgs of chlorine granules.

Chimbombo District Pharmacist Isaac Zyambo and Food Safety Manager Brina Chisamu were on hand to receive the donated items for their districts. These will be used to disinfectant different areas and cholera centres in the districts.
