In compliance with the provisions of the Securities (Registration of Securities) Rules, 1993 of the Securities Act, Cap 354 of the Laws of Zambia and the Listing Rules of the Lusaka Stock Exchange (“LuSE”), Shareholders are referred to the Cautionary Announcement dated 24 March 2016, in which the Board of Zambeef notified the Shareholders that they had received formal notification, from Rainbow Farms Investments Proprietary Limited (“RCL Foods”), that it wishes to exercise the Put Options granted to it when it entered into two separate transactions with Zambeef relating to ZamChick Limited (“ZamChick”) and Zamhatch Limited (“Zamhatch”) and which were announced on 4 February 2013 and 30 May 2013 respectively (the“Put Options”).

Shareholders are now advised that a full announcement regarding the settling of the Put Options will be published containing the financial effect of the transaction as per Section 9.15 (d),(e) and (f) of the LuSE listing rules, caution is no longer required to be exercised by Shareholders when dealing in the Company’s Securities in this regard.

Shareholders should however seek professional advice or guidance from their broker or investment advisor with regards to stock market activities.
