Zambeef’s new macro outlet in Kanyama to attract more customers

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Shoppers are demanding greater value for money, higher quality products and more convenience, says Zambeef, which opened its new Kanyama macro outlet in Lusaka last week.

The latest opening is part of a strategy by the country’s leading food producer to revamp its retail outlets to meet shifting buying patterns and consumer behaviour as more households own cars and demand the hygienic and comfortable shopping experience of world-class butcheries.

The Kanyama macro complex on Los Angeles Road, a road serving and traversing Kanyama, Makeni and Lusaka West, replaces the two old outlets. This outlet provides customers in Makeni, John Laing, Kanyama and Lusaka West with a convenient and secure one-stop shop for Zambeef products and includes the Zambeef butchery, Zamhatch day-old chick order point, and a Novatek stockfeed store. The Makeni, Mosque and Mumbwa roads all lead to the macro outlet.

The Kanyama shop is part of the food company’s chain of 127 outlets across Zambia, including 88 Zambeef butcheries, 27 Shoprite butcheries, six ZamChick Inn outlets and six wholesale depots.

“Zambeef’s model of macro outlets is proving phenomenally popular with customers, who love the convenient locations, ample parking space and wide choice of high quality value for money products” said Zambeef Head Marketing and Corporate Affair Felix Lupindula.

Zambeef is working on a programme of renovating and modernising the overall look and feel of its stores and customers can expect to see a lot more changes across the country in the coming months.

“We aim to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment that will give customers confidence in the quality of products they have known and come to embrace over the years, as well as enhance the shopping experience for them as well,” added Mr Lupindula.

Similar outlets can be found at Ten Miles along the Great North Road, and along Mungwi Road in Lusaka’s Industrial Area with more strategically placed outlets planned for the rest of the country. The macro outlet at Mungwi road has the added uniqueness of a Zamleather showroom where customers can sample and purchase some of the company’s leather products as well as place orders.
