Butchery of the month awards recognize staff expertise

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – The managers and staff of three of the best butcheries in Zambia have been commended for their skills in preparing meat and serving customers.

The Zambeef butcheries at Shoprite in Lusaka’s Manda Hill, Chimwemwe and Senanga each received trophies and cash bonuses in the company’s monthly quest to identify its most impressive outlets countrywide. The group’s Zamchick Inn fast-food branch at Arcades in Lusaka also received an award.

Joint Chief Executive Officer Carl Irwin was on hand to present the cheques and trophies to winning retail outlets, watched by an excited crowd of customers at Zambeef’s Kabwata Estate butchery.

“These accolades recognise the hard work and dedication that customers find in all our stores,” said Dr Irwin. “Service quality is as important as the quality of Zambeef’s meat, and this is why we seek to celebrate the great work of our retail staff.”
