Zambeef – Change in Directorate

In compliance with section 3.59 (b) of the Lusaka Securities Exchange Limited`s Listings Requirements, the Board of Directors (“the Board”) of Zambeef Products Plc (“the Company”) wishes to announce the appointment of Mr. John Clifford Rich as Non-Executive Director, with effect from 22nd June, 2023.
Mr Rich holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Pathology and a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney. Mr. Rich also holds numerous other diplomas and certificates within the agriculture, ruminant nutrition, production and meat export industry, a Post Graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science. Mr. Rich has also received Postgraduate training in financial management, modelling and financial analysis with IFC World Bank for over 15 years.
Mr. Rich is currently the Executive Chairman, of MHP SE – (MHPC) since 2017, an Independent Director, of OJSC Saba 2014 – current (Poultry & Farming), an Independent Director, of Zalar Morocco since 2016 (Poultry, grain trading) a Director, of AANC Pty Ltd from 1989 (Australian consulting business), and a Director Teralett Pty Ltd from 1982 (Australian Family Office).
Before that, Mr. Rich served in various positions in the agricultural production and procession space under many reputable and international organisations including the IFC, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC – now BII) among others.
The board is pleased to welcome Mr. Rich and is confident that he will add immeasurable value to the Company.

Zambeef Products plc is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the region, involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, milk, dairy products, fish, flour and stockfeed, throughout Zambia and the surrounding region, as well as Nigeria and Ghana.
