Zambeef customer wins KR50,000 cash bonanza

Lusaka, Zambia – One lucky shopper was K50,000 richer this weekend as Zambeef Products unveiled the winner of its mammoth 50pin at 50Years Butchery Bonanza prize draw.

Nayotu Nkanza was drawn from a group of customers who had won monthly rounds of the raffle and her entry went into the final grand raffle for the top prize, drawn by young film maker Ngosa Chungu.

Zambeef Joint Chief Executive Officer Dr Carl Irwin said: “Zambeef wanted to do something for Zambia’s 50th anniversary. In October last year we decided to launch the competition and make K50,000 the ultimate prize to commemorate our 50 years of independence.

“We launched the competition in November last year. Each month there were two winners from each Zambeef outlet. The winners were then entered the grand prize raffle and I am happy for Nayoto Nkanza has won it.”

Entrants for the completion were required to spend K35 or more at any of Zambeef’s 92 outlets, complete a customer feedback slip, attach it to their Zambeef receipt slip and post in the entry box at the shop. Each Zambeef receipt is equal to one entry, so customers could have entered as many times as they wished.

Dr Irwin said the feedback slips which rated the Zambeef outlets are invaluable. The feedback slips were used to award the best performing outlets in the Butchery of the Month competition.

“Customers rated the butchery, the staff, the hygiene etcetera, and so it’s great for us to know what we are doing right and how we can continue to provide quality service,” he said.
