Faith Mukutu

Chief Executive Officer

 

Nationality: Zambian

 

Qualifications: A.C.C.A. (Chartered Certified Accountant) – Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies, Zambia; Certified Accounting Technician – Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies, Zambia

 

Experience: Over 15 years’ experience in senior finance positions of major corporates, including Zambia Sugar Plc and Zambian Breweries (part of the SABMiller Group).

 

Patrick Kalifungwa

Chief Financial Officer

 

Nationality: Zambian

 

Qualifications: Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, post graduate diploma in International Business.

 

Experience: Over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He has served in various senior management roles and been responsible for overseeing the overall financial management and control processes of these organisations. He has been responsible for executing key financial actions across the board, including coordinating and management of quarterly profit forecasts, and advising on annual departmental budgets.

 

Mwansa Mulumba Mutimushi

Executive – Company Secretary, Legal Counsel and Head of Administration

 

Nationality: Zambian

 

Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia, master's degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Turin and post graduate diploma in Management, Leadership and Sustainability from the University of Cumbria. A qualified mediator and an associate arbitrator.

 

Experience: A legal practitioner with over 20 years post bar qualification experience as corporate counsel and company secretary. Commenced her career in renowned law firms before joining National Savings & Credit Bank as the first in-house counsel. This pivoted her career as she set out to establish legal departments for multinational corporations, namely Zambian Breweries Plc., Zambia Sugar Plc. and Zambeef Products Plc.

 

Nyangu Kayamba

Executive – Human Resources

 

Nationality: Zambian

 

Qualifications: MBA, post graduate diploma in Financial Management, and BA degree in Library Studies.

 

Experience: Over 26 years of experience in HR with senior positions at Multichoice Zambia, Barclays Bank Zambia, and Zambian Breweries Plc. Her expertise includes leadership development, organisational transformation, employee engagement, risk and compliance management, performance management, and strategy formulation and alignment. She also has experience serving on boards.

 

Gys White

Executive – Poultry, Milling and Stockfeed

 

Nationality: South African

 

Qualifications: B Com Honours in Accounting and MBA from the University of Stellenbosch.

 

Experience: He played a pivotal role in transforming Darling Dairies into one of South Africa's largest independent dairies, spearheaded the development of Namib Poultry, a ground-breaking ZAR 800 million integrated poultry broiler project for NMI Group, and was Managing Director at Goldenlay, Zambia's premier egg producer, before joining Zambeef.

 

Mike Lovett

Executive – Cropping

 

Nationality: Zambian

 

Qualifications: Studied in the United Kingdom at the Royal Agricultural College, under-studied at Mbala Farms.

 

Experience: Worked in Mazabuka on a mixed farm of wheat, maize and soya beans, then on a mainly sugarcane farm for 16 years before joining Zambeef in 2008 to start the Palm plantation in Mpika. He has held the roles of General Manager, Director of Farming and Chief Operating Officer. He currently manages Chiawa, Huntley and Mpongwe farms as Executive of Cropping.

 

Gerrie Kapfidze

Executive – Commercial, Retailing and Marketing

 

Nationality: Zimbabwean

 

Qualifications: MBA in Marketing and Operations from ESADE Business School; BSc in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Zimbabwe.

 

Experience: Over 25 years of multi-country expertise in business and talent development for commercial entities in the FMCG industry, working with Delta Beverages (part of SABMiller), Edrington, PepsiCo Foods, Mars Inc. and Unilever South Africa. Holds memberships with the Institute of Business Advisers (South Africa) as a Certified Business Advisor, and the Zambia Institute of Marketing.

 

Ezekiel Sekele

Executive – Corporate Affairs and Sustainability

 

Nationality: Zambian

 

Qualifications: MBA from Oxford Brookes University; Master of Commerce in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town; post-qualifying diploma in Corporate Governance from the Chartered Governance Institute; fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.

 

Experience: 20 years of experience in senior management. Previously Director of Corporate Affairs at Zambian Breweries. He has held positions at multinational companies, such as SABMiller Mozambique (CDM), Deloitte & Touche, and the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) at Mpongwe Development Company.

 

Tiri Mandava

Executive – Logistics and Operations

 

Nationality: Zimbabwean

 

Qualifications: BCom Economics and Information Systems, University of KwaZulu-Natal.

 

Experience: Over 17 years of experience in FMCG, supply chain, transport and distribution. Has overseen the construction of new distribution centres, implemented sales and operations planning, warehouse management systems, transport management systems, achieved ISO certifications for various organisations, and seamlessly integrated new supply chain networks. Led the supply chain and distribution operations for one of the largest manufacturing organisations in Zimbabwe and managed one of Zimbabwe's largest transport companies.

 

Walter Roodt

Executive – Large Livestock and Special Projects

 

Nationality: Namibian

 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in animal nutrition from the University of Pretoria; Senior Executive Programme at the London School of Business.

 

Experience: Animal scientist. Worked in Namibia as Technical Manager at Feedmaster. Joined Zambeef in 2008 to start up Novatek Animal Feeds as a green fields project. Served as General Manager before being promoted to the role of Deputy Managing Director. Appointed to the Zambeef board and served as CEO for two years during a phase of rapid change before stepping down to the position he currently holds.

Our team of over 8,000 employees consists mainly of Zambian nationals, with a blend of recent hires and seasoned workers whose tenure ranges from under a year to 26 years. His multiple skills allow him to maneuver in different departments such as the PPT.

 

Zambeef has equipped him with knowledge, understanding and skills in the shoe manufacturing process which he can utilize in the future. With all the knowledge he has acquired, he remains dedicated to excellence in his work.
