Trust in Zambeef

Trust in Zambeef

For over three decades you have trusted us to deliver quality assured products. This is a value that is at the core of what we do now and will continue to do into the future. This is evidenced in the highest health and safety standards we adhere to and the various accolades we continue to receive.

Adherence to standards

As customers you can be assured that all procedures have been meticulously followed and thorough testing has been conducted to ensure food quality and safety. Our food is fit for consumption, and the reliability of supply is guaranteed.

We believe in transparency and have invested in qualified experts to track and trace our products from raw materials through to processing. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our ISO certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and ISO 14000, which affirm our adherence to rigorous standards across all processing areas. External government agencies regularly inspect and verify the quality of our products.

All seven of our processing plants hold ISO 22000 certification, including our beef abattoir and dairy plant, Master Pork facility, chicken processing plant, flour mill, and operations Novatek in Lusaka and Mpongwe. Novatek also complies with the compulsory standards of the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZS 017, ZS 018 and ZS 019), and is the only stockfeed operation in Zambia that is ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 compliant. Additionally, Zamleather has received ISO 20345/ISO 2000 certification for some of its boots for the mining sector.

We are actively pursuing certification of our retail network according to PAS 221, the retail food safety standard. Furthermore, we are planning to expand our ISO standards portfolio with initiatives like ISO 39000 in road safety and the adoption of Global Good Agricultural Practices (Global GAP) to enhance food safety standards.
